Symptoms of Engine Mount Failure? 200 1980

Once again I find myself out of my league so here I am. Thanks in advance to all who respond...

My wife's 1980 244 seems to have developed a very noticeable vibration at times when it is being driven (perhaps also when it idles and is cold). Usually most significant when under load, I can feel this even in the steering wheel. Otherwise, it seems to run fine for a vehicle of this vintage.

My first thought is a motor mount or something like that. I know that one has been replaced at some point either in this car or in my 1983 242. But I cannot recall the symptoms at that time. So I wonder if there is some non-intrusive way to validate my diagnosis?

If it does turn out to be a motor mount does anyone know the routine for replacing it/them? I don't see it in my manuals.

Cheers!
