I have a '86 sedan daily driver that I baby with 436K on it. It has the original engine with auto transmission. I'm looking to sell it to a friend and was wondering what I should ask for it. I was thinking of around $2500.
I am the second owner and have all the service history with receipts since new.
I have done the following on it in the recent past: Paint, tires, windshield, front and rear shocks with strut mounts, front and rear rotors and pads, brake lines all around, brake flush, master cylinder, Ciebe E-code headlights and turn signals, radiator, tropical fan clutch, electric pusher fan to the a/c switch, a/c converted to R-134a, fan blower motor and resistor, steering rack, upgraded the swaybars with poly bushings, OEM motor mounts, transmission mounts, rearend bushings, exhaust system, O2 sensor, oil filter relocated to the firewall, oil & filter changed with Mann filters every 2500 miles, minor tuneup every 25K and major with waterpump every 50K, new front control arm bushings, front end alignment, dash cap replaced, large tach, small oil pressure gauge and small clock, indash radio/cassette/CD unit. Does not use any oil between changes and loves to drive the interstate all day. Wow, the more I look at the list, maybe I'm asking too little. Any and all opinions are welcome.
You all have kept this car going for years with your help here.
I just remembered another item replaced, both taillight units, driveshaft rebalanced with new u-joints.
Thanks in advance.
