spacer under distributor? 120-130 1966

Hello,

The end play for the distributor drive gear is set by the bushing that is pressed into the block.

When ever I build a B18/B20/B30 Volvo motor I always check and set the end play of this bushing.

But I have the luxury of having the engine on a stand and the oil pan removed while I set the end play.

I am sure with the proper type of puller, you might be able to SAFELY adjust the bushing.

But be aware it is very easy to put a burr in the bushing which will make the shaft hard to install and turn.

Filing or grinding in place will deposit unwanted debris inside the engine.
