rod bearings

We have a 95 940 non turbo with 93k Drove it 1000 miles last week from Pennsylvania to Florida. Toward the end of the trip the oil light would come on at stops and stay on until the rpm would rise to 1000 and it would go off. Got home, changed the oil mobil 1 10- 30. Same symptoms after brief warm up. Had a spare oil sender put in in with the same result. I think I have a failed seal off of the oil pump. My question is do I change the rod bearings while Iam there or not and if so do I go original size or larger . I appreciate any and all responses.Thank you.
