Hood opened up on me on the freeway... 200 1979

I've been driving my '79 242 around for a while, getting it ready to sell at the Ipd Garage sale tomorrow.

Today though, as I was driving on the freeway, the hood flew open on me and bent the hell out of the hinges. (It also put a nice nasty crack in the windscreen.) The corners of the hood are also bent up, but I think I can pound them out with a hammer.

I was able to get the hood jammed shut but now it doesn't want to open back up. It's sitting about an inch forward of where it normally does.

Any suggestions on a quick fix, or how to open this thing back up? I'm still hoping to sell this car tomorrow.

Thanks as always!
