coolant temp sensor 700 1991

That is not a part to replace as a diagnostic or preventive procedure because they are tough to get at and rarely if ever fail. If you suspect it check the resistance hot and cold. Just pull off the plug and attach meter leads to the sensor using wires with very small alligator clips. If it works, leave it alone If bad it will either make the car run very rich or be hard to start. There are other far more likely things to cause a bad idle.
