Not Volvo Specific Radiator Tank with Trani Cooler

Has anyone seen the inside of a radiator tank with the trani cooler?
I've seen Brass tanks but never had a Plastic one off the Core.
Is there a gasket/washer between the inside of the tank and where the threaded ends come out to receive the Trani Lines?
If these plastic tanks leak Coolant right at the nut that secures the Trani Cooler to the Tank.... are there options other then replace the whole radiator?
We tried just snugging that nut down a bit...NG
This is on a friends Blazer... He had new trani lines put on a few months ago. Obviously that job stirred up issues at the Tank.
