How to shield a volvo from an EMP?

I'm not sure it could be done on a recent volvo. not easily anyway.

it seems to me it would be easier to have an older vehicle, with a carb. and point type ignition. they would only risk frying the relays for brake lights, turn signals etc. in that type situation, turn signals would be the last thing to worry about.

IMO a good car for that scenario would be an old VW Beetle.
