Sudden Voltage drops 900

On a few occasions over the last few months, the 940 seemed to loose system voltage but keep running if you kept the revs up. After stalling or shutting off, the car would either be fine or act like it had a dead battery. Boosting or waiting fixes it. I think the battery is OK, and the alternator was swapped with no effect. Ideas??? (non-turbo, Rex/Regina, Japanese alternator)

Oddly, the SRS light comes on minutes before this thing happens. Is that a clue?

Thanks
