advice 200 1985

Hello need advice , Im the proud owner of a 1985 240 GL and it has about 275,000 miles, im wanting to keep it and have decided to go to junk yard (pull a part) and get a cylinder head for the 2.3 engine, and this way I would be able to drive the car while the machine shop is redoing the valves and such then after the head is done I would simply swap the head out. Were I need advice is on finding out what I can do and what the machine shop can do that I cannot or do not have the special tools to do. Help in the way of good web sites and perhaps parts houses. Thanks jim and the owner of a VOLvo here in Knoxville,tn YES!!!
