Climate control mix & matching 900 1991

Hi, I have a 1991 940SE turbo wagon. It currently has the automatic climate control (ECC?). The A/C is disabled but I find the auto heater a bit loopy compared to my preferred manual climate control (ACC) in my 91 740 turbo wagon.

What do I have to do in order to swap the auto control in my 940 for the manual type in my 740?
