Bill thanks for the recall info and alternate way to ground to frame.

So ....from block where neg cable is grounded to the frame somewhere from there?

As far as recall I have cables off car and and would burnt charred casings be good enough proof?

I would just have to have the car towed in to get the dealer to fix it at no charge?
