Sun shades popular in Sweden popular because of the many hours of the sun being very low in the sky, especially in winter. Just what you don't need when it's snowy and icy. The further north you go, the worse it gets.

To get over the traffic signal problem, didn't a lot of early American cars have special mirrors to show the traffic light?
