940 Vacuum reservoir 900 1994

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a message about my '94 940 wagon. The a/c vents are cutting out under acceleration. I had assumed that the vacuum motor for the vents was gone.

I finally brought the car to my mechanic and he says the vacuum motor is OK. He said he found a leak in the vacuum reservoir circuit, but did not have time to take apart the dash.

Is there any way to cut the reservoir out of the vacuum circuit without tearing apart the dash? If I could find the other end of the line feeding the reservoir, perhaps we could block it and install a new reservoir elsewhere.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.
