new main pump noisy, in tank press. insufficient? 200 1983

Hi, I recently replaced my main pump (new- bosch), filter, sent injectors out to witchunter for cleaning, and not long ago replaced the in tank pump. I am hearing some fairly constant noise from the new main pump. Also, I can squeeze the line going into the main pump with my fingers and it does not have that much pressure on it. If I pinch it completely and then let go, the rush of fuel cures the noise briefly. I know the in tank pump is working. If I run the in tank (by running a direct wire to the battery) briefly, with the car off, good pressure is now built in the line going to the main, though lost soon after starting.
Is the in tank pump just not creating sufficient pressure? It is recently new from Autohaus, probably aftermarket.
I appreciate any information someone could give if they have had similar problems, or suggestions.
Thanks very much.
Sincerely,
Craig
