Update - temp sensor is good .... 200 1984

I want to update the question of the temperature sensor, which I couldn't access on the engine.

I checked its resistance through its wiring to terminal #2 of the connector to the ECU (plug disconnected from the ECU of course). I got 2.52 Kohms at 76 deg F. ambient (the engine isn't ready to run right now), which is right on the money according to the green book (and Bentley's) graph.

So that eliminates another suspect :-(.

What's left? Engine timing? The cat again?
