1993 front ABS sensors able to replace original 1991sensors? 200 1991

I have a low mileage 240 1991.

A problem I am dragging now concern a missing ABS sensor at one front wheel. Everytime I use the car a warning light goes on after 100 feet.

A new sensor may cost now over $200. It seems this type of sensor was produced only that production year and furthermore ABS was an option in 1991 for volvo 240 in Canada. I would like to repair this car as it should be. I can't find a 1991 left side strut in the scrap yards I visited. It seems a very small percentage of 1991 had ABS systems.

I am offered two 1993 struts with good ABS sensors, hubs and calipers. I might have to put new shock absorbers at the same time but it should be all it needs.

Anybody knows if 1993 ABS sensors on booth front wheels will work on a 1991 system?
