1978 Volvo 244 Cooling Fan Removal 200 1978

Hi, I just bought a 1978 Volvo 244, and I'm trying to pull the fan off in order to remove the timing belt cover.

The fan has one bolt in the center, no other bolts on the face, and the bolts behind it are covered by its plastic fins. It's kicking my butt. I used a strap wrench to hold the fan pulley steady, but still couldn't get it to turn, even using a breaker bar. Is there some other way to remove this thing??? I think I could probably get the last bolt on the timing cover from below without removing the fan, but it just seems ridiculous that I can't get that fan off!
