Adding an additional (mechanical) oil-pressure meter? 120-130

You can get little T's that fit in there, I'm pretty sure it's 1/4" pipe thread but pull the sender and see. It's pretty tight in there between the block and the exhaust manifold. If I were to do this I would use an electric sending unit from an more recent volvo....I have never liked the idea of an oil line coming through the firewall into the cockpit.
