Cleaned underhood and the aftermath 200

On Saturday, I cleaned under Helga's hood. When I went to start the engine, the engine caught immediately, which was not a surprise. But then the engine began to rev uncontrollably. After numerous checks and restarts I realized that the accelerator was actually going to the floor. The cruise control was in the on position. I turned the cruise off, and no problem. I guess I got the cruise actuator too wet. Now I need to figure how to dry things out. This is an 85 model and has the Dana system. Any ideas?
