Yes, I'm going to incorporate some kind of shielding protection to the clear plastic line for my unit. I'd prefer electric, but the three-gauge unit I got only came with the mechanical type... and I'd prefer not to have a bunch of different gauge looks going on under the dash.

Is there a chance you could take a couple of photos of all of that stuff you describe in your post...? It's a little hard to follow the description. Thanks.
