92 240 Air cond (AC) questions - high pressure valve? proper pressure??? 200 1992

Hey all - It's gotten in the Mid 90's here in TN with high humidity - I've got to get the air conditioner working on my daughters 1992 240.

The clutch was cycling on and off every second or so - so I added more R134 and this did stop the cycling. It seems to be cooling some (but not nearly enough).

I wanted to hook some gauges up to both the low pressure side and the high pressure side - so I don't blow something up. I've only found the low pressure side valve on the condensor. - - Since I've never seen seen a car without a high pressure side valve - anyone have an idea where it is???

Also, while checking the pressure on the low side(at the condensor), it shows about 80 at idle, but drops to the 40s when revving the engine up a a bit. Anyone know what the correct pressure should be?

Thanks for all your help
Charles
