Adding an additional (mechanical) oil-pressure meter? 120-130

The OP of my car had the plastic oil pipe burn through while motoring down through France on his way to Spain. Car filled with smoke as the oil pumped out onto the exhaust. If it hadn't leaked onto the exhaust the next thing he would have known was a very noisy or seized engine!
Copper pipes still available and far safer than plastic. Brit car specialists should be able to supply or have a look here. Long established company.
