S90 red arrow flashing, stuck in park

I have the following problem on my 1997 S90 Vovol: Red arrow flashing on dash board cluster, mode selector switch is jumping from W to E, and when I start the car it is stuck in park. Error Code 0740 was showing, Had it looked at and the following is what may be wrong : The torque converter is probably not locking up, which is why I have the code. There is a solenoid for that which can be repaired/replaced.

And or Otherwise, the lockout could be due to the microswitch failing under the console, or the cable to the ignition switch being sticky and in need of a drop of oil.

Does anyone know how I can complete these jobs myself? Claus, thank you for your support.
