Yes, indeed, alschnertz is right. Anyone can own a new Lexus or Mercedes, all they need is money (they don't even need that if they are part of the lease set!). But to drive a 40+ year old car takes some dedication and sense of historical perspective. I still think you should put up a nice colorful canvas tarp. If your neighbors have a poop in their pants over it, they can lease a new Lexus to get over the trauma and feel better.
