Installing new windshield rubber 120-130

Hello,

We used to install all our own windshields and this is what we do now.

We remove the trim inside and outside, the windshield and seal and then remove the old hard sealant.

Repair any rust.

I then call my local glass shop.

They install the windshield here at my shop.

The reason why I use them is they have the correct type of EXPENSIVE butyl caulking and cleaner to remove the excess.

They put caulking in the groove for the glass before the seal is install on the glass, then they install the windshield on the car, then they put more caulking around the outside of the seal between the body and the rubber seal.

We then install the trim last.
