Bouncing Idle 200

I have an 88 245 with a fresh drivetrain in it - has about 600 mi on it and runs great - but I noticed an oddity. If going, say, 45 mph and I let off the gas, the tach will bounce between 1500 and 1000 about 4-6x then stop at a solid 1500. You can actually feel it in the car - reminds you of the slight power drop/perk you feel when turning the AC off or on. Almost has a centrifugal feel to it. Weird.

I adjusted the kick down cable twice but it still does it. Doesn't effect its running or efficiency, but still bugs me. Any ideas?
