HELP!!! Stalling/ no start '93 945t 900

Several times today I've had my car just quit, it has restarted each time but usually only after some fiddling around, first try on restart is usually a no-go.
Got it home and checked codes and got 1-4-4 on the ignition, copy/paste from the 700/900 FAQ: 1-4-4* No load signal from fuel injection system Bad fuel injection relay; faulty wiring from LH to EZK; bad LH module Engine lacks power; stalls; doesn't start or is jerky

No other codes. Just replaced the power stage last week after a similar incident and all was well for several days. After the first incident where it quit going down the interstate and wouldn't re-start (tach wasnt showing anything while cranking) I popped in the spare fuel relay I carry in the car, no change. I swapped in my old RPM sensor that was replaced just because the sheath around the 2 wires was splitting, it still worked fine....still no change. Got a new power stage and life was good again, car ran perfect.

Anyone have experience with code 1-4-4?
Could my spare fuel pump relay thats still in there be causing this?
Could it be time for a new EZK box?
Anyone have a working 937 box for cheap?
