Rewiring for internal-regulator alternator conversion...SOLUTION FINALLY FOUND!! 120-130

Thanks, Patrick of Mtl!!

Following your advice, I looked at the alternator again- aha! There were two little spades in a recessed area. Had both tested to find which had voltage while the alternator was running. And then plugged in the red wire onto that spade. BINGO! The AMP lamp lighted up on at the turn of the key and blinks off at the start of the engine...just like before with the old generator...but now with no more flickering light at low idle.

For others who have replied to the posting: sorry for saying that my alternator was a "true" one wire in the first place if that meant not including those little half-hidden spades.
