Tranny fluid scent 700 1991

I recently changed out the tranny fluid with Mobil ATF. I am noticing an occasional smell of tranny fluid whenever I stop and shut off the engine .There isn't any perceptible leak. It seems to me also that the synthetic fluid is more pungent in smell compared to the non synthetic. Aside this is bothering me a bit so I will follw up
