940 power steering hose replacement 900 1995

Afternoon all,

Has anyone ever replaced the power steering pressure hose on a 940? I have one that is weeping (leaking fluid) and have done quite a lot of research as to which one to get (according to the FAQ, I have a CAM steering rack).

Anyway, I searched all the usual sites for parts and they all have the same one, which I ordered. Received it, put the car on a lift and spent almost 3 hours trying to get it on. Knew I would have a problem because it did look quite like the original. It's a little shorter than the original, and the angles on the tubing leading to the banjo fitting are different.

I couldn't even get the banjo end over and around the steering rack to attach it. Anyone had any luck with this?
