Clogged A/C drain? 200

Hi all,

The carpet in my son's '83 245 is getting wet when he runs the A/C. I had this problem on a 240 that I owned several years ago, and it was the drain (from the evaporator?). A mechanic put a piece of copper wire in a drill and reamed it out. Took about 2 minutes.

The FAQ didn't help me locate this drain, nor did Bentley, but I'm assuming that it comes through the floor of the car approximately below the blower motor/heater core area. Is there anything I need to know about doing this? Is this likely the problem, or could it be something else?
