auxilary fan for 245 wagon 200 1989

Just installed new a/c compressor, drier, expan. valve, convert to r134, in my '89, 245 wagon; works great! Want to install an auxilary fan at suggestion of my mechanic. Dilema is "new" is quite pricey for my budget, but they are available, aftermarket. My Volvo mechanic said he has never seen one on a 200 series though he will look at the "pic 'n pulls". One question is can a 700 series aux fan be used? Even if i got a new one, installing it seems to be an issue. Advice?? My 3 row metal new radiator HAS the "socket" in it, ready to be plugged into. Thank you.
