Knock Sensor Signal Missing? 200

I just pulled code 1-4-3 "Knock sensor signal missing. Engine runs, but timing is retarded 10 degrees".

I pulled the knock sensor, cleaned the engine block, replaced the knock sensor, inspected the wiring (looked unusually good, no corrosion, no oil/cracking, etc) and it doesn't run anywhere near the alternator. Reset the codes and voila, it was fixed, for a few minutes. Then the check engine light tripped under fairly heavy throttle and pulled the code; 1-4-3 of course.

I was thinking I would start by checking that there is continuity between the ECU and the knock sensor wire harness. Does anyone know which pin(s) at the ECU is for the knock sensor? Or maybe it's actually the ignition system control unit I should be checking? I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Thanks!
