Maybe I don't remember what a "hard pedal" is anymore. Certainly not like the pedal you get when pumping with engine off to deplete the booster vacuum.

I've flushed my daughter's '93 240 a couple of times but never drove it. Did the 940 twice too, and while the pedal may be called soft for the first inch or so, I've come to think of it as just being "well modulated".

Because I can feel the brakes coming on slightly just as the pedal moves, normal stops take maybe another inch of travel, with maybe another 1/2 inch for emergencies (all guesses). In any case, I'm comfortable with the 940 feel.

What surprised me was that a 4 wheel flush (blue fluid in, new blue out) still only takes about what the non-ABS 240s do — around 3/4 of a liter. I'd expected the modulator would gobble up more. Must be the internal volume is less than the size would suggest.
