Removing the rear pinion nut: size? Preload? 120-130

Anyone know off the top of their head what size the nut holding the rear pinion is? I'm going to be attempting to change out the pinion seal this friday and would prefer to have all the proper tools and supplies close at hand before starting. I HATE extra trips to the store in the middle of a project.

Also, after reading up some up on the interweb, it sounds like for many rear ends you have to measure the bearing preload the nut is creating before taking it off (so you can tighten the nut to the same preload setting on reinstallation). I don't think I have seen refrence to doing this on the 122 in any of the manuals. Is it necessary?

Finally, and suggestions on scratch built drivers to put the new seal in?
