ABS queston 200 1993

If you are experiencing weird brake pulsations at low speed, pull off the wheels and rotors then brush off all the metal shavings that have accumulated on the reluctor magnetic wheel that the sensor picks up. Also make sure that the tip of the sensor itself is free of metal shavings.

The shavings accumulate from the rotor and metallic brake pad wear due to the magnetic attraction of the reluctor wheel/gear. Our 92 had the same problem and trust me, you do NOT want to disable ABS as this ancient Bosch system works just as well, if not better than modern ABS systems! It will save your butt when you are in over your head during an emergency stop!
