Newb Question: Drivers side drum dragging 120-130

I quess that explains why we did not find any clips.. The pins were both badly rounded off from wear , so it was hard to tell which way were supposed to be retained..The brake shoes were like new on both sides so it just seemed odd to see those pins so badly worn.. Thanks for the info!
