I just discovered that my brake master cylinder has had oil added to it. If you followed my alignment thread you know who the only suspects are. Good thing I had my safety done the day before, I'll have to go there tomorrow and ask if they would have noticed it or not. My brake fluid is a rootbeer color which its never been. My eye first caught sight of what I thought was just an unusually high brake fluid level. When I opened up the cap I could see oil on the top of the screen plastic ring. I went through a lengthy process of documenting and saving the evidence.
So what would oil in my brake fluid do. How big of a safety issue am I looking at until I can get a second testimony and possibly a lawyer. I don't know why anyone one would want to tamper with my car for just trying to get the work done right and that was over a year ago. Maybe my junkyard found new Michelin and Goodyear tires pissed them off. Either way what would you do? Should I give them a chance to make it right plus some kind of settlement? I'm thinking at minimum new calipers/flush/master cylinder and paying for a volvo specialist to go over the car and check for any other suspect issues.
I also can't see the timing belt from the rear of the top cover like I used be able to through the little eighth to quarter inch opening. Not even the edge. Just enough room on the B23 for someone to push with a skinning screwdriver in an attempt to get it to fall off.
Sorry for this post but I didn't ask for this crap. I just tried to put trust in this place one last time and they went over board to screw me.
