weird eleectrical issue (radio) 200 1985

I have a non factory radio in my car, that all the sudden (after having it for a few years) is acting all weird.

It will turn off when I close my door, and sometimes even re-set itself.

I thought first that maybe it was an issue with the dome light, because it did blow that fuse. I had put some sound deadning material in the roof, so I cleared out some of the insulation around the dome light. That seemed to fix it, until just now.

I was sitting in the car, fixing my lumbar support, when I closed the door and the radio turned off again. If I pushed on the drivers speaker, it would turn back on. But if i turned on the wipers, it would totally turn off the radio after a few wipes of the blades. Turning on the fan (finally swapped out the bad switch for a new one), or the turn signals and headlights/high beams makes no difference.

I haven't done any major re-wiring in my car (outside of replacing the wires for the OD and reverse lights), and my battery seems to be at 13.9 when the car is running. the posts are clean, and the connections are good.

Any clues or suggestions?

I'd really like it if I went more than a week without having another issue with this car. :)
