pinion angle 200 1981

When I had the "expert Volvo shop" install a new(used 116000 miles) rear end in my 81 245, I told them to install the adjustable torque rods and panhard rod I bought from IPD. I told them to adjust them so they were exactly the same as the ones that were originally on the car. When I picked it up, there was a vibration that got so bad I had to stop the car entirely, then restart it. An experienced Volvo mechanic(26 years of factory training) said it sounded like the pinion angle was wrong. That's when the "expert Volvo shop" admitted that he raised the drive shaft at the differential "1/2 an inch". He said he didn't feel any vibration. I know that the pinion angle at the differential should be the same and opposite of the angle at the center support bearing. And you're supposed to hold your angle thing on the universal joint flange at both places to take the reading. But on mine, there is no flange aft of the center support bearing. There is a universal joint but no flange. Anyone have an idea of how I can measure the angle? I have a real problem. Have tried minor adjustment to the torque rods and while it's better, I don't know if it's right and I still have a vibration when letting off the gas at any speed. None of this was a problem until the "expert" put the new rear end in the car. Please help! East Tennessee has few experts on this king of thing.
