Many dash lights glowing (not fully lit/bright) 700 1988

I had brushes fail in my 240, in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming. Not a good place to find Volvo parts. I bought two new batteries. First battery got me 300 miles. Second battery got me the final 10 miles to home, with headlights. Keep in mind, that's a total of 2 times starting, and high speed highway miles, no lights (though I did have to sparingly use wipers, and I did use the stereo/CD player).

Count on maybe 1/3 of that many miles for around town driving. And, it depends entirely on your battery and it's condition.

When your stereo starts to cut out when you apply the brakes, and/or your turn signals stop working... then you likely have less than 5 miles before it dies.
