Lubricating the clutch pedal pivot... 140-160

'72 145 M410

I'm using a pedal box from a '71, fyi.

My pedal got really creaky in the last few months. I've tried all purpose grease, twice, and I still have a creaky and rough feeling pedal. I've bathed the sleeve in it, along with the plastic end caps, and the space where the sleeve fits in the pedal. Is it just too viscous? The only thing that has helped, albeit temporarily, has been wd40.

What have people been using to lubricate the pedal pivot? And where exactly are you applying it?
