240 electrical problem!! Please help!

http://cleanflametrap.com/tempFaker.html

Hello Ryan, As Jim noted that your 240's compensation board might be giving you problems, go ahead and jumper it. I pasted the link at the top of this message, for quick look-up for you. I did this about a month ago.. it's actually very easy. Just make sure and draw yourself a nice map off where all of the wires go to before disconnecting them. Art Benstein put this tutoral together. I used the "lamp cord" method of jumpering the two pins. Check it out, it's a lot easier once you do this in person.
Jim also noted that your temp issue may be a faulty thermostat. I'd replace it just to be on the safe side, and probably IS stuck at "open" and the engine is not properly warming up. Another easy fix. Make sure your car is cool before you perform that task.
As for the battery drainage, I'd suspect a short. I don't think I can really help you on this one. I apologize.
Let us know what year your 240 is, and check back in to the Brickboard occasionally.. Brickboarder's respond rather quickly most of the time.
