E code installation 700 1991

My current (non-e code) lights are;
- 2 lamp plastic w/ no fog lights on 1991 740
- 2 lamp glass w/ fog lights on 1991 940
I have to use the H4 (hi/lo combined) w/ the e-codes.
The e-codes have a daytime running light setup that uses a light in the upper clear portion of the turn signal corner light. My current DRL are the headlights come on when the car starts (Canadian setup). The headlight bulbs would live alot longer if I can run the e-code DRL setup. That is what I'm looking for someone who has made this change.
Also what are the stock headlight relays & wiring good for as far as wattage?
