luggage compartment 120-130

All that's needed to get access to the inside of the trunk/luggage area is to remove the upholstered panel above the rear parcel shelf. You will find an area where the factory speaker could have been mounted. The sheet metal in this area is already partially perforated, and can be knocked out with a hammer and screwdriver. This will open a portal into the trunk.

A metal rod about 4 feet long, with a slight bend about one foot from the end, can be pushed into the trunk, and the latch mechanism opened.

You need to tell us if the handle that the key mechanism is mounted into can move. If the handle moves very freely, such that you can lift it with one finger, then the link rod is broken. If the handle is immobile after unlocking, try pressing down with the weight of your body, upon the chrome handle of the luggage compartment while you press up on the handle mechanism that contains the lock.

This action can be done with one hand, palm of hand on the chrome luggage compartment handle and finger tips on the handle mechanism with lock, while pressing down with palm and lifting up with fingers.

Good Luck

Bill
