Draining a gas tank 200

Getting ready to fire up an 81 Bertone that has been sitting indoors for 9 years.Car ran when parked, had about 1/2 to 3/4 tank of gas and added some fuel stabaliser in between.I was just going to start it but now I'm thinking maybe I should drain the tank.Need a fast easy way to do this.Besides siphoning I was thinking maybe hot wireing one of the pumps and use the pumps to drain the tank.I could disconnect after the prepump but before the main pump and pump out the gas .Or disconnect after the main pump and pump out the fuel.Do you think the old gas will harm the main pump? Just don't want the old fuel to reach the injectors or fuel distributor. Thanks for your help.
