repositioning front seat 200 1989

Im intending to "redo" the drivers side front seat-put in new metal webbing things in the seat and lumbar support-new foam- but here’s my question> I’ve never had the seat off and out of the wagon. I assume there are probably 4 bolts-nuts-whatever going through holes in the floorboard. I don’t know the exact "configuration“-so what I would like to know ahead of time-can the seat be repositioned about 4 to 6 inches back? Like drill new holes and mount it in those holes so when it is slid all the way back, Im sitting further back. This may tell you I am a bit on the tall side and my right leg leans to one side against the front console thing to use the gas pedal/brake pedal. (actually over time it hurts my leg a bit at that contact point.) I figure as long as I have the seat out, that is the time to reposition it-IF possible. Another issue might be the seat belt-will it negatively affect the seat belt positioning? Anyone? Thanks for your help.
