I have an old AC glass bowl fuel pump that doesn't appear to be in all that bad condition. It actually makes sucking sounds when the lever is actuated, but the diaphragm looks pretty iffy. NOS repair kits occasionally appear on ebay, but those were made before gasohol came along and don't stand up to modern fuel. The valves seem to be working, the gaskets I can fabricate, and it should be possible, with a bit of ingenuity, to fabricate a new diaphragm and attach it to the old pump stem, if I could find gasohol-proof diaphragm stock.

Has anyone here done this? Does anyone know of someone making repair kits for these things?
