What temp for cooling fan to come on 93 940? 900

1993 940 wagon. non turbo, Regina. 'stat works fine. I have not seen the fan come on but have seen the coolant be under serious pressure in the reservoir and have had be leaking by if cap is not totally snug. I am working on solving a few DPO issues on this car. Having this answer will help me. The fan does work (after replacing the cooling relay with horribly corroded connections) but the thermostatic switch contacts have to be jumped to make it come on.
